About Me

A Survivor

I'm an 18-year pancreatic cancer survivor and an 11-year breast cancer survivor. I am pre-diabetic for life, and I live with a condition called neutropenia (when you body doesn't produce enough white blood cells to fight infections). 


Yes, it's a lot, but I'm still here! 


At the age of 32 I had a Whipple procedure, an 8-hour surgery that was not guaranteed to be successful. Just before the anesthesia kicked in, I said to myself, "Nayana, you will be fine, you WILL wake up!"  And I did just that. 

A Pioneer

Teeq Spirits, Inc, the parent company of multiple award-winning Anteel Tequila, was launched in 2017. 


In just under 11 months, with no previous experience in the spirits industry, Anteel Tequila went from an idea to a bottle on the shelf for sale. 


In December of 2019, by sheer accident and a lot of research by my husband, we found that I was the first black woman to have ownership of and lead a tequila brand. 

A Coach & A Leader

I hav built several companies from the ground up and with Anteel Tequila, I helped turn an investment of $60,000 into a company worth nearly $4M. 


Whether overcoming cancer twice to creating companies, it all begins with a strong mindset. 


An obstacle in life can either be a speedbump or a mountain. 


It's a choice.
